REACH-ing Out To The Walker Community Servants

In a Council Meeting in August, it was decided that cookie or goodie trays should be delivered to the Walker Police and Fire Departments to show appreciation for what they do in the community. The decision was made to start this on the second Tuesday of September. No one even thought about this being 9/11 or the implications of that day. What a great time to begin a ministry to those faithful community servants who often put their lives on the line for us.

Pictured here are some of the cookie trays that were delivered.

About 18 dozen cookies were divided up between the Police and Fire Departments and delivered by the Preschool and Children classes of the church. They were very well received by those working on that day.

Pictured above are the cookies all over the kitchen. What a blessing to have two ovens at the church!
